The objective of this project is to construct water tanks for the storage of potable water from the RO desalination plants within the Al Zawra Central Plant of Etihad Water & Electricity and to transmit the same to the main water distribution center located in the Ajman WDC area. The scope constitutes the construction of one 10 MIG and two 4 MIG RCC prestressed tanks, along with the installation of pipes, valves, electrical, and instrumentation works, etc. To meet the timeliness of the project, Slipform technology was utilized for the construction of the tank walls. These tanks became the first-ever circular Slipform water tanks in the Middle East. The walls were post-tensioned, ensuring strength and durability with minimum wall thickness. The innovative use of Slipform technology and post-tensioning techniques has set a new benchmark in the region for efficiency and quality in water tank construction, ensuring reliable water storage and distribution for years to come.
