Project 169W2020 addresses the increasing water demand in the northern emirates, centred at Khuraijah, Ras Al Khaimah. It includes the construction of nine 20 MIG RCC water tanks with a combined storage capacity of 180 MIG, alongside inlet, outlet, washout, and overflow pipelines.
The project also features essential infrastructure such as a transformer building, PLC room, Chlorination building, and associated electrical and instrumentation works. Dynamic compaction improved the land, and 3259 piles were installed as foundations for the tanks. Slip-form technology facilitated the rapid construction of tank walls, reinforced with post-tensioning.
Precast elements and extensive mechanical installations further supported project efficiency, ensuring successful completion well ahead of the contractual requirements.
