Dhafir Technologies recently completed a unique stainless steel cladding project on the main bag filter for ADNOC Refining’s Carbon Black Unit at the Ruwais Refinery, achieving record-breaking completion in under two months. This upgrade was essential to eliminate magnetic particle contamination in the carbon black product, caused by the corrosion of carbon steel in the filter casing. To address this, our team carefully lined the internal casing with high-grade stainless steel, ensuring long-lasting protection against future corrosion.
The project also involved replacing 5,760 filter bags across 12 compartments, an extensive effort that required precise planning, specialised scaffolding, and seamless teamwork.
